In 1996 deWintons was created by Jacqueline Thomas, a young and vivacious entrepreneur in the exciting world of catering. Jacqueline trained at the internationally acclaimed Leith’s school of food and wine before gaining further experience working as sous chef for By Word of Mouth and for International Award Winner Anton Mosimann at his World Famous restaurant The Belfry. A recognized personality in the food industry, Jacqueline has enjoyed the experience of cooking on television, featuring on The Vanessa Show on many occasions.

In August 2003 James Symington joined deWintons bringing with him expertise and experience having worked with a diverse number of corporate clients. James’ passion for good food and outstanding customer service saw his relationship with the catering industry begin when he was front of house running a Gastro Pub in South West London. With the business skills and flare to succeed James expanded into the world of outside catering before joining Jacqueline at deWintons.

As co-directors, Jacqueline & James create a dynamic team with a 4 year proven track record of successful events. At deWintons our attention to detail and impeccable service make the perfect solution for your corporate event or hospitality initiative. deWintons understands that first impressions are key and we aim to not only meet but exceed your expectations. Today, deWintons provides a whole variety of exciting events ranging from intimate dinners for two and country weddings for 200, to corporate lunches and film premiers. deWintons care about the details and are dedicated to giving their clients the freshest of ingredients in the simplest of ways, creating food that looks great, tastes fantastic & leaves you wanting more!

Jacqueline & James are your first point of contact. Working with the dedicated deWintons events team, we will guide you from your initial enquiry to the end of your party, with the finest of details discussed & remembered. With deWintons' eye for detail & sense of occasion we have come up with a tried & tested list of questions which enable us to give you an accurate quotation for your event.

At deWintons we pride ourselves in providing a complete service, covering details such as the colour of the ribbon to tie the napkins to the quantity of ice to cool the wine or having staff ready to welcome guests with a friendly smile & a perfectly chilled glass of champagne. Through experience deWintons work with the best suppliers around, we have established relationships and will deal with them directly to get the most out of them on your behalf, taking the stress away from you.

The deWintons team relish a challenge, recently designing a bespoke menu to reflect the new fashions in Maria Grachvogel's flagship store. This brief was to provide exquisite canapés, champagne & an impeccable service for a high profile evening, for Smith and Williamson's top female clients at the Sloane Street store. When creating stylish yet delicate canapés, to reflect the chic and glamorous designs in Maria Grachvogel's collection, creativity, presentation and flavour were the key ingredients.

Why not try something a little different? Creating & designing a Tantalizing Cocktail Party, using set designers, flare barman to mix delicious cocktails, and, of course our experienced chefs to create contemporary canapés. We have also staged "Live Cooking" events as part of a buffet or as team building exercises where business delegates learn from our chefs before cooking their own supper!
